Hello GM's, I am proposing a change to the Buyout rule. This change will be implemented this offseason.
Option #1: Keep Buyout rule the same, we would stick to 2 Buyouts per team in the offseason.
Option #2: A 1 time cap hit of 80% of total salary. EX: Current contract 3 yrs @ 12M, Buyout would be 1 yr @ 9.6M. This would also extend to unlimited Buyouts for the offseason.
Option #3: We do a tiered system. Buyout structure: 2 years - 70%, 3 years - 90%, 4+ years - 110%. This would also extend to unlimited Buyouts for the offseason. EX: Current Contract - 2 years @ 12M, Buyout @ 70% = 1 yr @ 8.6M EX: Current Contract - 3 years @ 12M, Buyout @ 90% = 1 yr @ 10.8M EX: Current Contract - 4 years @ 12M, Buyout @ 110% = 1 yr @ 13.2M
Please vote on which option you would prefer, when the league officially opens for the 2024 offseason we will see how the vote looks.

This proposal has been vetoed, we will stick with the current Buyout rule in place. I am going to extend the buyout deadline to all offseason. Buyouts will be allowed up until the roster cut down day.
