Cleveland & New York have agreed to the following trade deal:
Cleveland will send the following players to New York : CB Marshon Lattimore (N.O.) - (2023 thru 2024)- $5.7M | & S Rodney Thomas II (Ind) - (2023 thru 2024)- $700k (RFA), in return
New York will send the following player & pick to Cleveland: DE Nik Bonitto (Den) - (2023 thru 2024)- $1.5M (RFA) | & Pick #4.21 to complete this deal.
cap diff = +/- 4.9
accept, this deal helps me to address the holes in the secondary. We're trying to create a bit of balance with the defense. A healthy Lattimore can more than carry his weight back there, & Thomas can help fill a huge hole in the back end. Thanks to GM Al & the Browns front office, the negotiations were brutal & this was far from where we started. Yet we were able to make something happen, & both sides were comfortable with the deal.
