Mock draft time!!
Disclaimer like last years, this is a total guess, while I hope I don’t miss the first pick like last year lol. I am sure I will miss a few. There seems to be a TON of owners wanting to move down or around so I think we will see a lot of trades. So hopefully some of these picks are halfway close. Well, without further a due:
Pick #1. KCC. RB B. Robinson easiest pick here.
Pick #2. PIT. QB A.Richardson Ahmed gets his pick of the QBs and having Pickett I think makes this a slam dunk for Richardson.
Pick #3. TBB. QB C.J. Stroud. With Frank helming the team currently I think he will value Stroud a little higher than Young. Young’s size is a concern being the deciding factor.
Pick #4. PIT. QB B. Young. I 100% see this pick getting traded, so I will just make the selection here as Young. I could realistically see Ahmed picking him and holding 3 QBs as the value is to much to not take him.
Pick #5 WAS RB J. Gibbs - they need a RB and Gibbs fits the bill nicely
Pick #6. BAL. WR Jacob Smith- Njigba. Baltimore traded to get a high pick and gets the 1st WR off the board.
Pick#7. TBB. WR J. Addison. Frank is back up and get a very good WR in Addison.
Pick#8. HOU. DE W. Anderson jr. I would say this is my first “surprise” pick. There are still WRs/RBs out there, but if anyone knows the value of a stud DEF piece it’s Houston.
Pick#9. CAR. WR Q. Johnson. Young stud catching balls from Herbert, sign him up.
Pick#10. BUF. WR Z. Flowers Flowers rounds the “top” WRs and goes to BUF to add more strength/depth to this strong team coming into 2023.
Pick #11. TEN - TE D. Kincaid Tennessee has been doing a good job on the rebuild and add a future star at TE.
Pick#12. MIN. - LB J. Campbell not alot of stud LBs in this class, so I got MIN. Taking him here. I fully expect MIN to be moving all over the place.
Pick#13. LAR. RB. Z. Charbonnet. Solid RB that should see some quality playing time.
Pick#14. GBP. WR. J. Mingo. Could be the steal of the draft if him and Young develop chemistry or he could not pan out lol. Perfect pick for middle of the draft.
Pick#15. PIT. RB K. Miller I see Pit taking value and prospects with promise here.
Pick#16. ATL. RB R. Johnson. Atlanta with back to back picks for the rebuild. Johnson should be splitting time right from the start and has great value here .
Pick # 17. ATL. TE. M. Mayer. Atlanta gets the 2nd TE off the board and goes to a team that is use to have it a good TE.
Pick# 18. IND. QB. H Hooker - with Blaine picking for them, I think he goes with a high reward prospect for down the road. Hooker is looking at being a factor until next year but this IND team is looking n the same track.
Pick#19. SFO. QB W. Levis. I think he slides no more, Levis could go as high as 9 to CAR or down to here. He is a really hard player to project.
Pick#20. NYG. RB. D. Achane. Get a solid RB that could make an impact early.
Pick#21. IND. TE. S. Laporta. I could see Musgrave going here. But I think having the possible Hooker/ LaPorta connection in the future would be nice for the team.
Pick#22. MIN. TE. L. Musgrave. These two are so close to me that when one goes the other will be right behind.
Pick#23. TBB. RB. T. Bigsby. Frank rounds out the trio here of QB/Wr/RB snagging Bigsby.
Pick#24. PIT WR. M. Mims. Adding more young offensive pieces is the way to go.
Pick#25. MIN. RB. T. Spears. Spears seems like he is destined to be a superstar taking over for Henry or never staying healthy, let’s hope for the first.
Pick#26. NYJ. LB. D. Sanders. He will talk about how it is only a bunch of bums left and the finally take a LB lol
Pick#27. MIN. WR. R. Rice. Like Spears another guy that could be huge or a depth piece for years to come.
Pick#28. WAS. WR. J. Hyatt Hyatt will catch two-3 bombs that will give him 2-3 big fantasy days for sure. We just need to see if he can be consistent productive WR.
Pick#29 PIT. RB. C. Brown. Should get some touches and being Mixon handcuff should get him some play time when Mixon gets banged up.
Pick#30. BAL. DE. Luke Van Ness stuff DE going to BAL here.
Pick#31. Jax. WR. J. Downs. Could build chemistry with Richardson, not going to get a lot of D attention with Pittman there.
Pick#32. HOU. WR. M. Wilson. Wilson moving up draft boards with Hopkins moving on. Wilson should see plenty of action.
There you have it, hope you guys enjoy and I am excited to see how it goes (this coming from a guy with no 1st rd picks…….currently lol)
