The Texans are back.
After tanking for two years, I won't have either of my #2 overall picks to show for it but it was all part of the process and this trade is really the first step in showing that it has paid off. All three have their risks with a mix of high contracts, age, and injury history but arguably all three have the ceiling of #1 overall at their position for the next 2-3 seasons and that is a window I feel comfortable trying to compete within.
There's still plenty of work to be done but now with top five players at each of QB/RB/WR/TE, I can shift my draft & FA needs towards adding depth rather than needing high end talent. In the last 24 hours I've been able to add five really solid players on both sides of the ball that I feel very comfortable building around in the immediate future. Lots of thanks to Derek for helping make this one happen.
