Under league rules it says you can extend a RFA player if you choose too. I did the same thing with Andrews last season.

Yes but the player must have a year remaining on contract, he has no contract so he will have to go through RFA

Look at his contract it expired in 2021 then has RFA status, yo extend him his contract would have to expire in 2022 then have RFA

Ok, I understand. Andrews had another year left last season while Okereke does not.
