The New York Giants trade
Brett Maher (FA-K) 2020/$2.5M 2021 5th Round pick
Houston Texans trade:
Andy Dalton (DAL-QB) 2020/$16M
The Giants accept as we lost Dak last week and need a short term replacement at QB. Thanks to the Texans and good luck in the future.

Texans accept. Disappointing return for a starting QB but the market is weak so I’ll take what I can get. Thanks to Jesse for getting this done.

If I’m not mistaken, the Texans can’t acquire picks in 2021, they are at the 20 pick limit. This trade will have to be reworked.

Hold on, the pick limit is surely only applicable to the draft surely. No reason why a team cannot acquire more then consolidate them near the draft. i.e. trading up in the draft.

Hope that's not the case in other leagues..I agree there should be a limit on rookies drafted but draft picks are more than that in these leagues. We use them for RFA bidding and as currency. I offered a pick to Houston for a player but that obviously can't go through now..
We maybe revisit this in the off season.
