It's why I said I thought it maybe wrong. The NFL rule which seems to apply here is a max of 3 years RFA, he's in his third season so 3 years RFA here would be a total of 5. This is from the rules here
Now some leagues allow RFA to be bid on irrespective of time served (which is daft imo) as long as they haven't been owned in the league previously. That maybe the case here but the above suggests otherwise

I just look at when I got Taysom Hill. He was two years in, going into year three. I gave him a 2 year deal and I got an RFA. That would've been 4 years so...clearly more than 3.
