The Detroit Lions trade: Pick 4.12 To the Denver Broncos for: Bobby Wagner (LB-SEA) $18.9M (2020 FT) Pending Trade Acceptance: Waiver: CJ Anderson (RB-FA) $8M (2020) If waiver not claimed: Cap Hit of $3.2MThe Lions accept the trade. Strengthening the LB core is something the Lions wanted to do in the offseason. Thanks for the smooth deal. Best of luck to the Broncos. 7.0.3

I’ve been thinking about this one for a bit. I just can’t let this one pass, Wagner is an elite LB and the franchise tag isn’t even that high considering what LB have gone for in UFA. A 4th just isn’t enough for a guy that can be kept for one more year. I believe if the Broncos shopped him around a little more he would get a much better deal.
For me this is a veto.

I'll do the same. Shelton, I would shop Wagner more, he's been one of he best IDP linebackers for awhile and will make a big impact for any team that gets him, even if they are paying him well for a year or two.

I don't get it. This is a better trade for Denver than the one that allowed him to move 2 first round proven talents for the 1.14. (I get that looks a lot worse with the player taken but I'm not arguing that here) one of whom was the 1.11 in 19 and who now has a season under his belt and the other who's a probably first in a start up draft AND was the 1.26 in 19. I mean it's not a great trade for Denver but it's one I've done a few times in the past
Plus the fact we only start 3 lb's here as there's no defensive flex kinda hurts his value too. Is not next seasons FT for Wagner a minimum of around 29 million as it's a second tag? I doubt the FT prices go down so that seems high to me for a 31 yr old linebacker

Apologies for stepping on toes and posting on the threads but I don't have a voice anywhere else as I'm not on group me. It is a disadvantage
