Hey GM’s,
I am proposing a change to our draft pick clock. Let me lay out the proposal then my reasoning for it.
I propose we make the clock 12 hours for each round, and we suspend the clock from like midnight to 6AM.
This should help in the early rounds with the draft momentum being killed because people take so long. In the later rounds we end up with a lot of skipped picks because the clock is so short. Also, I think suspending the clock helps so that picks won’t be skipped.
Please cast your vote
If we vote to change it then it will go into effect with this draft.

12 hour clock should be the max anyway imo, stopping it for 6 hours from midnight ET won't help me at all as I'm in a different time zone. But that's what pre draft is for anyway

Hey everyone,
I just want to clarify it’s 12 hours per pick for every round. Right now I believe our later rounds are like 4 hours per pick and we end up with a lot of skipped picks. And our 1st round is 16 hours per pick and I think that’s too long. I think 12 hours per pick will be good and if we do it for every round it should eliminate skipped picks.

Also,
I’m open to suggestions on the hours of the suspended clock. I just threw out midnight to 6 AM.
Perhaps that’s too long of a break?

You can't include us all. Midnight to 6 here is 7pm to 1 am Eastern...I'll set an auto if within a few picks for every round bar the first, but I'm never more than 8 hours AFK anyway

I say 12 hours works for rounds 1 and 2, but after that, I think 8hrs should be the max, or else it'll drag on forever! Also, I think it would be tough to suspend picks for certain hours as we are all in different time zones. If you know you are likely to pick while you might be away, its on you to set up enough picks to have an auto selection. That's my opinion/vote.

This would make a good rule ...if you're milking the clock but miss your pick you lose your pick...
